On November 14th, the 2024 China Aquatic Products Conference was launched in Beijing, with the theme of "New Pattern, New Momentum, New Opportunities". The conference explored issues such as aquatic product trade, market trends, brand building, and cross-border integration, aiming to stimulate healthy consumption vitality. The next day, a special sub-forum on international trade and market of aquatic products was held during the conference, attracting nearly a hundred participants. It focused on the global trade situation of popular categories such as cod, squid, snakehead fish, basa fish, and tuna.

Mr. Qu Zhenhai, the general manager of Dalian HaiqQing Food Co., Ltd., presented a report on "The Adjustment and Change of the Global Cod and Salmon Market Supply Chain" at the meeting. He pointed out that the supply and demand situation in the cod and salmon markets is changing and the supply chain is also being adjusted. These changes have brought new challenges to the industry. Qu Zhenhai especially emphasized the importance of deep-sea fish processing technology, believing that it is crucial for adapting to market changes and improving product quality.
Steve Hart, the senior vice president of BAP International Aquaculture Certification, introduced the results of the annual aquatic product production data survey, showing the annual compound growth rate, distribution area, and development trend of various aquatic products.
Mr. Yang Binbin, the vice chairman of Uni-President Group, analyzed the current situation and future regulatory trends of the Chinese imported aquatic products market, and pointed out the key factors for the development of the deep-sea fish processing industry.
Mr. Lu Zeqing, the chairman of Qingdao Yize Food Co., Ltd., focused on the squid industry, discussing its supply, processing mode, and market demand, and mentioned the role of deep-sea fish processing in enhancing the added value of products.
Mr. Xie Hai, the director of Zhaoqing Zhongye Aquatic Products Co., Ltd., deeply analyzed the product trade and channel strategy of snakehead fish and basa fish, emphasizing the importance of the deep-sea fish processing link for expanding the international market.
Mr. Yang Chenxing, a lecturer at Shanghai Ocean University, explained the changes in the global tuna trade pattern and the development potential of the Chinese market.
In addition, during the conference, several sub-forums and special seminars were organized, covering aspects such as innovation in the aquatic product supply chain, domestic market expansion, and brand building. They jointly explored the sustainable development path of the aquatic product industry, especially mentioning the role of deep-sea fish processing in promoting the progress of the industry.
